PASTORAL CARE

PASTORAL CARE

At Re:Hope our primary vision is to lay the foundations for long-lasting reawakening by raising up mature disciples of Jesus.

As we become more like Jesus, we want to show His heart of love and compassion for others. We have a growing Pastoral Care Team, because we want everyone in our church to know that they are a valued part of our church family.

How can we help you?

As a team we would like to offer support to our church family in a few different ways.

One to One Support

Members of the Pastoral Care Team are able to meet with others to support them through an immediate difficulty or longer-term issue. This will involve listening and talking to the person, praying with them, and keeping in contact with them.

Practical Provision

We like to take every opportunity to celebrate good news together, and also stand in the gap in difficult times. ‘Take them a meal’ is one of our favourite ways of showing God’s love and provision. We can also provide home or hospital visits if desired.

Other Ministries

As a Pastoral Care team we work closely with all church ministries, including the Welcome Team, Bible Read Through groups and the Prayer Ministry team.

How can I get involved in providing pastoral care?

We all have a part to play in caring for each other well. If you are interested in finding out more about joining the Pastoral Care Team, email pastoralcarewest@rehope.co.uk

TEAM LEADER

LYNNE KOMOLAFE

Lynne oversees our Pastoral Care Team here in the West End. Her role is to co-ordinate the various sources of pastoral care, to facilitate training, to liaise with other ministries involved in pastoral care, and to provide supervision for the Pastoral Care Team.

Although there are a number of pastoral services available, it is important to emphasise that the Pastoral Care Team are not trained counsellors, and will at times identify when situations would be better addressed by trained professionals. lynne.komolafe@rehope.co.uk
