COMING TO CHURCH
Church Update • We are meeting in person from Sunday 28th March (11am, 5.30pm & 7pm services) following government guidance, as well as gathering online (11am & 5.30pm services)
ATTENDING CHURCH - What to expect
With the ever-changing guidelines, this is the place we will update with the latest information about attending church during this season and what to expect.
As things continue to change, we will be re-assessing and adjusting our practices for a Sunday to ensure everyone's safety. We trust our leaders, and are determined to honour them. We will continue to follow our government’s guidance as they lead us through the route map measures.
We will be open again to meet in person from Sunday 28th March with three services at 11am, 5.30pm and 7pm (11am & 5.30pm also live-streamed).
Currently numbers in our building will be restricted to 50 maximum. For this reason, if you would like to attend church in person over the coming weeks, we need you to fill out a short survey letting us know when you would be available to come. More information on what coming to church will look like here.
For kids, our wonderful Kids Ministry Team are will be back in the building to run Wee:Hope (for 5-11 year olds) during the 11am and 5.30pm service & crèchendo (for 2-4 year olds) during the 11am service.
And we will have crèche open each week during the 11am service.
Spaces are limited so please indicate if you would like to register your child for Wee:Hope, crèchendo or creche in the notes section of the form.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE FOR THOSE WHO MEET IN THE BUILDING?
We will need you to arrive 15 minutes early, to join a (socially distanced) queue outside.
You’ll need to bring your own mask, and wear it while inside the building. We'd appreciate you using the hand sanitiser provided upon entering and exiting also.
We will check you in using Church Suite, our online register system. All members of each party must be registered in Church Suite prior to attending on a Sunday, you can submit these details via the attendance survey.
Our host team will give a warm welcome, and help you find a seat. Everyone will strictly adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Church will begin right on time!
Only the worship leader will be able to sing, and they will be behind a perspex screen. Those of us in the room will worship wholeheartedly and creatively - but without singing. Bring a journal if you’d like! We’re excited to see how God will reveal new ways to worship Him through this season.
There is prayer ministry available in the room (and online).
Toilets will be for emergency use only.
We won’t encourage mingling inside the building, and won’t have donuts or hot drinks. We do however encourage you to visit a local spot for a takeaway coffee after the service if you fancy, or (following the rules!) go for a walk, visit a local park etc.
We’ll collect shares before the service begins, and you can continue to email them in (email@example.com), but we won’t pass the share mic around.
Communion is available, you can pick up your individual communion bread and wine on entering the building or during either of the worship sets.
When we can gather in the building (max capacity of 50 total) Kids ministry will be available at the morning service and the evening service. Crèche is available at the morning service. Again you can register to attend via the church attendance survey.
If you feel unwell in any way, please stay home and join us online!
WHAT ABOUT CHURCH ONLINE?
Our 11am and 5.30pm services will be live streamed at their usual times! All of the online service features will continue as normal. We’re so thankful for this incredible resource and means of worshipping together.
HOW WILL I KNOW I HAVE A SPACE AT THE SERVICE?
Spaces for each service are allocated weekly, not on a first come first served basis.
Confirmation invites for each Sunday service are emailed out on the Thursday prior to each Sunday, so keep an eye on your inbox (remember to check your junk mail)!
If people register interest after spaces have been allocated on Thursday, we operate a reserve list through the attendance survey and we’ll do our best to allocate space on the Sunday morning itself. Those on the reserve list will be contacted before 9.30am via email on the Sunday if there is space available.
With this in mind, if your availability changes at any point from what you have submitted, or if you can no longer attend the service you have been confirmed for, please email us as soon as you can and this means we will be able to re-allocate your space with more time to spare!
